The aim of this paper is to eliminate ambiguities that appear in the literature relating to the saturation charge of particles in electrostatic precipitators. Investigation of the influence of collection electrode geometry on electric field strenght in electrostatic precipitator, the saturate charge of particle directly depends on, is the second main goal. The numerical results for electric field and potential distribution for various cross sections (polygonal) of tubular electrostatic precipitator geometry are shown.
