This article represents an attempt to explore and underline the potentiality of ‘life skills education in schools’ and of ‘learning to live together’, respectively recognized as one of UNESCO’s Four Pillars of Education, and that can be synthesized in different correlated goals such as the promotion of human and children rights, education for peace, citizenship, health behaviours, conflicts and violence prevention and gender equality. In particular, the article focuses on the increasing importance of the international dimension in education curriculum in order to promote an international dialogue and international competences.
