This research examined the levels of motivation among employees in a selected public service department in the Limpopo Province. The study used a non-probability sampling procedure to select the sample; specifically the convenience sampling technique was used whereby 30 respondents were selected. A closed ended questionnaire was used in the study. Descriptive statistics were used to analyse data. Results showed that the levels of motivation among employees in the selected public service department were very low. DOI: 10.5901/mjss.2014.v5n20p96
