La protéine disulfure isomérase (PDI) est une protéine de 57 kDa résidant principalement dans le réticulum endoplasmique (ER) où elle est impliquée dans le repliement approprié des protéines nouvellement synthétisées. PDI peut être sécrétée par les plaquettes et les cellules endothéliales pour participer à la formation du thrombus. Cependant, le mécanisme exact par lequel PDI module et régule les substrats est insaisissable.
