In this study, strains of Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Klebsiella pneumoniae, which were isolated from several clinical samples, were investigated for their antibacterial activities. Strains of E. coli 26S, E. coli 14, E. coli 27, P. aeruginosa 8, P. aeruginosa 15, and P. aeruginosa 22 were found to have the highest activity. It was established that the antibacterial substances obtained from these strains were partially or completely sensitive to proteolytic enzymes. E. coli 26S and P. aeruginosa 8 were selected as the most efficient strains producing bacteriocin by disk diffusion method which was found to be the optimal method when spot-on-lawn, disc diffusion and well-diffusion methods were compared for determining antibac...
