Mass migration of rural population became a social fact due to displacement policies of the state by using its power in the Eastern and South-eastern regions of Turkey since late 1990s. Diyarbakır, the main and most important metropol of South-east region, is one of the cities, which witnessed the practical displacement of migrating population. The people, who came to Diyarbakır as a result of forced migration, chaneged social, cultural and political structures of the city. Alongside this fact, a process of harmonization and integration with the city had been started for those who underwent forced migration.
