Recently, the attentions of many researchers were focused on PLA and functional alternating copolymers based nanocomposites. PLA is of significant interest in bioengineering applications such as wound closure, tissue culture and controlled release. Preparation of PLA/clay nanocomposites by using solution blending method was also reported.
