Immunoaffinity chromatography (IAC) is a special type of bioaffinity chromatography that uses antibodies or antibody-related molecules as the stationary phase. This technique is used by many disciplines, particularly prefering in biochemistry on one-step separation and purification of functional protein. Also, immunoaffinity chromatography is used in antibody enrichment and separation of cells. IAC columns typically have strong and selective binding between antibodies and their target antigens.
