In this study, it was aimed to describe the way that energy is taught as a topic in Grade 9 at secondary schools. Due to the purpose of the study, which involves a detailed description of the current situation, a descriptive case study pattern based on observation was used. The participants of the study were three physics teachers, who taught energy in Grade 9 of three different Anatolian high schools in Ankara as well as 85 students enrolled in these schools.
