Sanatta Kadının Temsiliyeti Ve Göstergeler Üzerinden Yeni ifade Olanaklarının Araştırılması

On the report with the title of ‘‘Research On New Expression Opportunities On The Basis Of Indications And The Representation Of Women ’’ it is aimed at scrutinizing the new ways of expression which are created by feminist artists by using their representations as indications while transferring them into art practice during the process of feminist artists’ reconstruction of the representations of women that the masculine potency created in terms of gender roles in accordance with their self-interests. At the first section, as the main heading, ‘Gender’ is discussed in a conceptual framework, besides; how social gender, which is different from biological gender, has been gaining its meaning as a social category since birth and women’s collaboration and struggle against that assigned meaning are discussed as well. At the second section, the women artists’ collaboration to start a struggle against gender-oriented unequal distribution, women artists’ being ostracized from the history of art and their being represented as ‘the other’ in the society is analyzed. The feminist art discipline which arose from the demand for equality between men and women in 1960s has brought the statements of ‘difference’ and ‘pluralism’ into the forefront and profited by deconstruction, one of the techniques of postmodernism. The feminist artists who opened new doors while working on the issue of women representation through indications created new expression opportunities in art practice by using various indications and developing new ways of using indications. That process of change and development are scrutinized via the works of feminist artists. At the third section, the works of art created by contemporary feminist artists by using indications with the aim of creating their own representations and the ways of use of which have started getting rich during that development process are evaluated with the help of personal works of art.BOYACI, Sibel. Sanatta Kadının Temsiliyeti ve Göstergeler Üzerinden Yeni İfade Olanaklarının Araştırılması, Yüksek Lisans Sanat Çalışması Raporu, Ankara, 2018. ‘‘Sanatta Kadının Temsiliyeti ve Göstergeler Üzerinden Yeni İfade Olanaklarının Araştırılması’’ başlıklı raporda, eril iktidarın toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri üzerinden kendi çıkarları doğrultusunda oluşturduğu kadın temsillerinin, feminist sanatçılar tarafından yıkılıp yeniden kurulması sürecinde, kendi temsillerini gösterge kullanarak sanat pratiğine taşırken yarattıkları yeni ifade biçimlerinin irdelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bir üst başlık olan ‘Cinsiyet’ birinci bölümde kavramsal çerçevede ele alınmış ve toplumsal cinsiyetin biyolojik cinsiyetten farklı olarak doğumdan itibaren toplumsal bir kategori olarak nasıl anlam kazandırıldığı ve kadınların birleşerek bu anlamlandırmaya karşı verdiği mücadele araştırılmıştır. İkinci bölümde, kadınların cinsiyete yönelik eşitsiz dağılıma, kadın sanatçıların sanat tarihinden dışlanmasına ve toplumda hep ‘öteki’ olarak temsil edilmelerine karşı sanat alanında birleşerek mücadeleye başlaması ve bu süreçte sanatsal çalışmalarında nasıl bir bakış açısı geliştirdikleri incelenmiştir. 1960’larda eşitlik talebiyle başlayan feminist sanat disiplini giderek farklılık ve çoğulculuk söylemlerini ön plana çıkarmış ve postmodern yöntemlerden biri olan yapısökümden faydalanmıştır. Kadının temsiliyeti konusunu, göstergeler üzerinden işlerken sanat üretimlerine yeni ve farklı kapılar aralayan feminist sanatçılar, farklı göstergeler kullanarak ve gösterge kullanım biçimlerini geliştirerek sanat pratiğinde yeni ifade olanakları yaratmışlardır. Bu değişim ve gelişim süreci feminist sanatçıların gerçekleştirdiği çalışmalar üzerinden irdelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde, güncel feminist sanatçıların göstergeler kullanarak kendi temsillerini oluşturmayı amaçlayan ve gelişen süreçte gösterge kullanım biçimlerinin zenginleşmeye başladığı sanatsal çalışmaları, kişisel çalışmalarla desteklenerek değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır
