PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA BOX SIPENSIA UNTUK PEMBELAJARAN TEMATIK KELAS V SEKOLAH DASAR

This research was conducted based on the need analysis in the SDN Pujon Kidul which did not implement any media and only used student worksheet and textbook and in SD Muhammadiyah 4 Batu which depended on images media only. This problem gave impact to the student, where they lack enthusiastic in the learning process. Hence, media is needed to solve this problem so that it can facilitate and help the student. One of the media that can be implemented was Box Sipensia in Theme 2 clean air for health material Subtheme 1 the way the body processes clean air Learning 2. This research aimed to describe the product development of Box Sipensia Media in elementary school. ADDIE model development was employed in this study which consisted of five steps, namely analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This research was conducted in SDN Pujon Kidul with 35 students and SD Muhammadiyah 4 Batu with 32 students in March 2019. The data collection technique was using observation, interview, questionnaire, and documentation, while the data analysis technique was using descriptive qualitative analysis and quantitative data analysis. The finding indicated that (1) The appropriateness based on the material expert presentation showed 93,75%, media expert with 95%, and learning expert with 88,4%. (2) The attractiveness based on the results of the questionnaire response illustrated that in the Pujon Kidul Elementary School, it showed the results of the student and teacher response questionnaires with 93.3% and 91.66%, while in Muhammadiyah 4 Batu Elementary School showed 94.39% and 91.66%. (3) The effectiveness of the media based on the student learning outcomes, it showed that in Pujon Kidul Elementary School, the results of the pretest and posttest assessment obtained an average of 55.8% and 80.85%, attitude assessment gained an average of 84.99% and the average skills assessment in activity 1 gained 90% yield, activity 2 80% and activity 3 94.99%. Then, at SD Muhammadiyah 4 Batu, the results of the pretest and posttest assessment received an average of 60.41% and 81.17%, attitude assessment gained an average of 86.48% and the average skills assessment in Activity 1 received 95%, Activity 2 82,32% and 3% 93.38%. Based on the research finding, it can be concluded that Box Sipensia media is very suitable to be implemented in the learning process and this media can also be used in more than one school with the same needs analysis
