The quantitative traits such as fibre length, fibre strength, fineness, uniformity, color and elongation are considered as important fibre quality traits fetches high market price for cotton, thus identification of quantitative trait loci (QTL) for fibre quality traits in cotton (G.hirsutum) would be beneficial for cotton fibre yield and quality improvement .
