Educational theory is reviewed in context of its implications for Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL). Drawing on theory as well as strategic recommendations for use of TEL in Higher Education Institutions, this study undertook an exploratory study into the use of two educational technologies, namely online lectures and collaborative wiki tools, in a legal professional higher education setting. Research objectives include assessing ELT’s effectiveness in terms of student engagement, collaborative learning and learning outcomes.
