Eating disorders (Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa) are serious psychopathological problems that affect mainly young women. Both clinical cases tend to become fairly common and have shown a tendency to increase their incidence during the 90's. The current paper presents a study that aimed at testing the clinical efficiency of a group cognitive behavioral treatment for Binge Eating and Bulimia Nervosa targeted to college female students. Eleven college female students, aged 18 to 34, participated in a treatment program of thirteen weekly 90 minute group psychotherapy sessions.
