De Montfort University 10-11th November 2007.Sickle cell and thalassaemia are health issues affecting many established and migrant minority ethnic groups across Europe. This book chapter seeks to demonstrate that sickle cell as an issue signifies both the challenges, and the possible policy initiatives needed, across mnay social policy themes.
