Although research on internationalisation in higher education has dramatically expanded over the last two decades, the literature examining how internationalisation has manifested in creative arts teaching has been slower to emerge and remains under-populated. This study aims to provide a quantitative and taxonomical overview of the research developments between 1999 and 2019 on internationalisation in art, design and cognate creative and performance disciplines.
