Secondary tricuspid regurgitation Do we understand what we would like to treat?

International audienceTricuspid regurgitation has long been a neglected and underestimated entity; its prevalence is significant, and is increasing with the ageing population. Tricuspid regurgitation is often a consequence of chronic left cardiac pathologies or atrial fibrillation. Surgical treatment is recommended for patients with severe symptomatic tricuspid regurgitation or tricuspid annulus dilatation at the time of left heart valve surgery.
