Born on April 21st, 1869, in Cussac, on the current town of Buisson Cadouin, Denis Peyrony is well known to prehistorians, its name being associated with the prehistory of the Vézère Valley. Digger of many paleolithic sites in Les Eyzies region, many of which are now considered as reference sites, he was also an important promoter of the importance of this heritage.
