Aim of the research: qualitative and quantitative analysis of glucosamine in food supplements available in Lithuanian market. Tasks of research: chose best analysis methods for experiments; validate the methods chosen for assessment of glucosamine; perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of glucosamine; compere experiment results with declared amounts by manufacturer. Object of the research: food supplements containing glucosamine available in Lithuanian market. Methods: for qualitative and quantitative analysis HPLC and TLC was used. Results: HPLC and TLC showed that in all food supplements chosen for experiment there was traces of glucosamine.
