International audienceThe efficient solution of complex electromagnetic (EM) design problems is addressed through the System-by-Design (SbD) paradigm. The synthesis is dealt with several interconnected functional blocks, while the overall system functionality is considered as the design target. A significant time-saving with respect to standard approaches is achieved thanks to the exploitation of a fast surrogate model instead of fullwave simulations to explore the solution space. Moreover, an innovative adaptive sampling strategy is proposed to enhance the accuracy of such a predictor to better guide the optimization algorithm.
