The motor and sensory branches of the somatic peripheral nervous system (PNS) can be visualised by different imaging systems. This article focuses on imaging of peripheral nerves by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and high-resolution ultrasound (US). The anatomic basis of the peripheral nerve image, common pathologies and clinical value of US and MRI imaging of peripheral nerves are reviewed
From time to time it is thoughtful and productive to review a medical field and reflect upon what ar...
The diagnosis of nerve entrapment and compressive neuropathy has been traditionally based on the cli...
Ultrasonography (USG) is an excellent cost-effective modality in imaging of peripheral nerves. With ...
Lower extremity peripheral neuropathy is a commonly encountered neurologic disorder, which can lead ...
With recent improvements in ultrasound (US) imaging equipment and refinements in scanning technique,...
The peripheral nervous system is increasingly being investigated using medical imaging as a compleme...
Upper extremity entrapment neuropathies are common conditions in which peripheral nerves are prone t...
