Deux femmes, un donneur, l'enfant issu des techniques de procréation médicalement assistée : aspects représentatifs, narratifs et filiatifs d'un certain type de familles contemporaines

A child conceived by artificial insemination with an unknown donor who growing up with a couple of women is a new problem for clinicians and researchers today. The research question of our doctoral thesis aims to explore the Oedipal conflictuality within this type of contemporary family constellation. More specifically, we focused our observations on the effectiveness of the third party, on the process of assignment to gender and Oedipus as a “shared meta-narrative”. To do this, we favored the application of a mixed method of data collection. We conducted semi-structured interviews with the parents and we used projective techniques with their children. The longevity of our study allowed the establishment of three meeting times at different ages of development for the children. Semi structured interviews and projective material were cross-analyzed resulting in our general findings. Those are followed by three in-depth case analyzes. Articulating material harvested from parents and their children provides insight into intersubjective family functioning at work for each family. The results make it possible to identify lines of thought that are useful for both practitioners and researchers in psychology.(PSYE - Sciences psychologiques et de l'éducation) -- UCL, 201
