Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) demonstrate therapeutic effects for a range of biomedical applications including photodisinfection. Specific wavelength bands (centred at 405nm) are reported to be the most antimicrobial, however there remains no consensus on most effective irradiation parameters for optimal photodisinfection.
