La doble dimensión del Análisis del Discurso: perspectiva teórica y herramienta metodológica

The aim of this article is to present the two dimensions that build the discourse analysis. The first allows it to be characterized as a theoretical perspective with a less or more critical bias; the second makes it possible to use it as a methodological tool for constructing, describing and interpreting linguistic data. In order to illustrate both dimensions, an analysis is made of a news articles that show the relationship between the pro-mining groups and the press in a southern Argentine province. Attention is focused on two features of the news articles —narrative and argument— and the social representations it embodies.El objetivo de este artículo es exponer las dos dimensiones que configuran el Análisis del Discurso. Una permite caracterizarlo como una perspectiva teórica, con un sesgo más o menos crítico; la otra posibilita tomarlo como una herramienta metodológica para construir, describir e interpretar datos lingüísticos. Con el fin de ejemplificar ambas dimensiones, se realiza el análisis de un texto noticioso que manifiesta la relación entre los grupos promineros y la prensa en una provincia del sur argentino. La atención está centrada en dos propiedades del texto noticioso, la narratividad y la argumentatividad, y en las representaciones sociales que este materializa
