This study aims to determine the effect of investment knowledge and investment motivation on investment interests in the capital market in the 2016 State University Jakarta State University Faculty of Economics students, both partially and simultaneously. This research uses survey method with correlation approach. Data collection uses document recording techniques, and questionnaires. Affordable population in this study were students of the Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta force 2016, who have take course in financial management, totaling 144 students. To obtain data, researchers used a Likert scale model for the Y variable (Investment Interest) and Variable X2 (Investment Motivation), while for Variable X1 (Investment Knowledge) using a multiple choice test. Data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression, and hypothesis testing consisting of t test and F test. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that there is a partial influence between investment knowledge and investment motivation with investment interest. Investment knowledge has a sig value of less than 5%, 0,000 <0.05, indicating that H1, investment knowledge, has a positive effect on students' interest in investing.
