KONSTRUKSI PEMBERITAAN KASUS KORUPSI CALON GUBERNUR MALUKU UTARA DI MEDIA MASSA (ANALISIS FRAMING AHMAD HIDAYAT MUS (AHM) DI SURAT KABAR MALUT POST PERIODE 15-26 MARET 2018)

Beginning in 2018, coverage of print media in North Maluku was enlivened by news involving a politician and candidate for North Maluku governor, Ahmad Hidayat Mus, who was suspected of corruption. allegations of AHM involvement are known in the KPK annual report. When the incident occurred, many media reported the cases faced by AHM. Media constantly writes news about AHM to make it the main hedline in the North Maluku Post print media. When the media raises a story because it will be of interest to the public and interesting to study, there is an interesting thing that is done by the North Maluku print media because in providing this issue it is a challenge as a media that still displays news in a balanced, actual and factual manner. The purpose of this research was to find out the construction of the news of the corruption case of the North Maluku governor candidate in North Maluku. This study uses qualitative approaching while the type of research used is descriptive and the basis of research uses the framing analysis method. Data obtained using documentation techniques while the selection of research objects using technical total sampling. The data analysis technique uses the Zhongdan Pan and Gerald Kosicki models with elements such as syntax, script, rhetorical and thematic The results showed that in the framing analysis this case was in the neutral category. Framing the neutral Malut Post seeks to build public opinion regarding the reporting of Ahmad Hidayat Mus as a suspect in a corruption case amid the nomination as North Maluku governor. It can be said that Malut Post is trying to influence social construction in the community but is seen to take a good approach and try to build a construction that approaches actual reality. For those who will conduct a research study using framing analysis of mass media both print media and online media, researchers suggest to deepen the constellation that will be examined so that in the next study will examine the same theme to find out the extent of the influence of media construction in delivering news to the public
