PENGARUH PELAPISAN LILIN LEBAH TERHADAP KUALITAS BUAH MANGGA AGRI GARDINA 45

Agri Gardina 45 Mango is a hybrid mango that is registered as a new superior variety, from the results of crossing Arumanis 143 with Saigon, has advantages such as low canopy ± 3 m, early maturity of harvest, high production, and attractive fruit skin color. However, Agri Gardina 45 mangoes can only last for 6-10 days in temperatures of 22-32oC. Beeswax coating is an innovation to inhibit the occurrence of damage to the fruit during the storage process. This study used a Completely Randomized Design with Beeswax Concentration (L) treatments, consisting of L1: No Treatment (control), L2: 4% Beeswax, L3: 6% Beeswax, and L4: 12% Beeswax. So that obtained 4 treatment combinations and repeated three times. The observational data were analyzed with the F test to determine the treatment, and the BNJ test with a 5% trafa to determine the difference in the effect of the treatment. Observation parameters included weight loss (%), color brightness (L), hardness level (N / mm2), total dissolved solids (Brixo), and vitamin C (%). The results showed that Agri Gardina mango which was given beeswax coating with a concentration of 12%, and 6% at the shelf life of 16 hsp (days after treatment) showed a significant effect on weight loss.
