Background: Labioskizis or better known as cleft lip is a separation of the two sides of the lips which can affect both sides of the lips as well as bone and soft tissue of the alveolar bone. Growth failure in infants with labioskizis is related to the problem of preoperative feeding. The presence of a gap in the lips or palate will reduce the baby's ability to suck and interfere with the compression of the aerola region and make it difficult to breastfeed and bottle milk.The purpose of this study is to know the experience of mothers in preventing malnutrition in children with labioskizis (cleft lip).
