PENGALAMAN IBU DALAM MENCEGAH GIZI KURANG PADA ANAK LABIOSKIZIS (BIBIR SUMBING) Di Bakalan Krajan Sukun Kota Malang.

Background: Labioskizis or better known as cleft lip is a separation of the two sides of the lips which can affect both sides of the lips as well as bone and soft tissue of the alveolar bone. Growth failure in infants with labioskizis is related to the problem of preoperative feeding. The presence of a gap in the lips or palate will reduce the baby's ability to suck and interfere with the compression of the aerola region and make it difficult to breastfeed and bottle milk.The purpose of this study is to know the experience of mothers in preventing malnutrition in children with labioskizis (cleft lip). The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a case study research strategy. The interview data collection technique uses 3 respondents who are used as sources. The results of this study found 3 themes: (1) Mother's efforts to maintain health status (2) Adequate nutritional needs; (3) The expectation of the mother in healing her child. Discussion: From the results of this study it can be concluded that the success of the role of a mother in caring for a child can be determined from experience while accompanying a sick child, as was done by the participants in this study.
