KONFLIK DOUBLE BURDEN PADA BURUH PEREMPUAN DI PABRIK ROKOK TRUBUS ALAMI MALANG

This study discusses the double burden on female workers in the cigarette factory Trubus Alami by studying the double burden conflict experienced by female workers. The work of women or wives outside the home makes them have two roles, namely as housewives and as workers who are equally important to run. In carrying out these two roles, they will certainly be faced with a double burden conflict. The theory used in this study is Randall Collins' Conflict Theory in family studies where the dominance of men or husbands on women or wives in terms of the longer and more severe workload experienced by women workers is the basis of this theory. The purpose of writing this essay is to find out the double burden conflict experienced by female workers who work in the cigarette factory Trubus Alami. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The data sources used in this study were obtained from primary and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques used in this study were direct observation, interviews, and documentation. Then the subject determination technique uses a snowball sampling technique. The subjects who became informants in this study were 5 female workers who worked in the Trubus Alami cigarette factory. The results of the research in the field indicate that the double burden conflict experienced by female workers in the cigarette factory Trubus Alami includes lack of time with family, childcare problems, housework assistance, communication and interaction between family members, lack of harmony between husband-wife wife, parent-child
