Survey of electrocardiographic changes in the st and wave segment t in dogs at the Unisul Veterinary Hospital in the period 2017 to 2018

This study aimed to perform a retrospective survey of the electrocardiographic changes in the ST segment and T wave in dogs attended at the Unisul Veterinary Hospital (HVU), Tubarão / SC, from 2017 to 2018. Data were collected from 99 dogs through analysis of the clinical records contained in the HVU database. Subsequently, the animals were divided into two groups, the first group, 0 to 7 years old and the second group, 8 years old and over. In the first group, 32% of the dogs presented alterations in the ST segment, within this value, 12.5% presented clinical manifestations. Regarding the T wave, 28% of the dogs presented alterations, and 42.86% presented clinical manifestations. In the second group, 27.03% of the dogs presented alterations in the ST segment, and 20% presented clinical manifestations. Regarding the T wave, 31.08% of the dogs presented alterations and 8.70% presented clinical manifestations.Este estudo teve como objetivo realizar um levantamento retrospectivo das alterações eletrocardiográficas no segmento ST e onda T em cães atendidos no Hospital Veterinário Unisul (HVU), Tubarão/SC, no período de 2017 a 2018. Foram coletadas informações de 99 cães, através da análise das fichas clínicas contidas no banco de dados do HVU. Posteriormente, os animais foram divididos em dois grupos, o primeiro grupo, de 0 a 7 anos e o segundo, de 8 anos ou mais. No primeiro grupo, 32% dos cães apresentaram alteração no segmento ST, dentro desse valor, 12,5% apresentaram manifestações clínicas. Em relação à onda T, 28% dos cães apresentaram alteração, sendo que 42,86% apresentaram manifestações clínicas.
