This research aims to evaluate the influence of the human element on aircraft maintenance practices. For this, the descriptive research, with a qualitative approach, was used in relation to the methodology. In this paper, we have investigated important authors related to studies on human factors, such as Scott A. Shappell (2000), Douglas A. Wiegmann (2000), Robert L. Helmreich (2000), James T. Reason (1995) and Mario Cesar Vidal (1999). Data from various agencies, such as the National Fatigue and HFACS Commission, as well as documents from institutions such as the FAA, ICAO and recent CENIPA articles were also used.
