Uso da fibrina rica em plaquetas e leucócitos (L-PRF) no preenchimento alveolar pós-exodontia: revisão de literatura e relato de caso

Currently, with the great demand for aesthetics and function in dentistry, the knowledge of the events that promote the dimensional changes of the bone crest and the possibilities of avoiding or diminishing these alterations it is extremely important. After tooth extraction, the volumetric bone loss will naturally occur and the alveolus will be remodeled. The importance of using techniques capable of maintaining the height and width of the edges, becomes a reality. The aim of this study is to perform a case report comparing the clinical and tomographic effects obtained after 2 months of of extraction surgery, of a post-extraction alveolus sealing of a patient treated with Leukocyte and Platelet Rich Fibrin (L-PRF). L-PRF acts as a three-dimensional fibrin matrix, that contains high concentrations of platelets, leukocytes, cytokines, and growth factors. It is believed that alveolar filling with Leukocyte and Platelet Rich Fibrin is an important technique, because it has a simple and efficient application, besides stimulating the regeneration of the tissues and accelerate the healing process, having a more satisfying effect when compared to a natural cicatrization.Atualmente, com a grande busca por função e estética na Odontologia, é de extrema importância o conhecimento dos eventos que promovem as alterações dimensionais da crista óssea e as possibilidades de evitar ou diminuir estas alterações. Após a exodontia, a perda óssea volumétrica ocorrerá naturalmente e o alvéolo será remodelado. Deste modo, a importância da utilização de técnicas capazes de proporcionar a manutenção dos rebordos em altura e largura se torna uma realidade. Este estudo tem o objetivo de realizar um relato de caso comparando os efeitos clínicos e tomográficos obtidos após 02 meses de cirurgia de exodontia e preenchimento alveolar com selamento de alvéolos pós-extração de um paciente tratado com Fibrina rica em plaquetas e leucócitos (L-PRF). O L-PRF atua como uma matriz tridimensional de fibrina, que contém altas concentrações de plaquetas, leucócitos, citocinas e fatores de crescimento. Acredita-se que o preenchimento alveolar após a exodontia com Fibrina rica em plaquetas e leucócitos seja uma técnica importante, pois a sua aplicação é simples e eficiente, além de estimular a regeneração dos tecidos e acelerar o processo de cicatrização, tendo um efeito mais favorável quando comparado à cicatrização natural
