Polyurethane is a material used in civil construction due to its excellent performance as thermal and acoustic insulation, however, its high flammability restricts its uses. This study reports the effects of the addition of polyethylene terephthalate residue on the production of fire-resistant acoustic-thermal insulation. The composites were prepared containing 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50% of polyethylene terephthalate residues replacing the polyurethane matrix, and 20% of aluminum anodizing sludge.
