A importância da pilotagem elementar nos aviões modernos

This research is directly focused on the importance of maintaining proficient manual piloting in modern and increasingly automated aircraft. The main focus is on analyzing aircraft automation systems versus efficient manual handling in case of failures and of course the impact it has on civil aviation flight safety. This research had as general objective to acquire knowledge to emphasize the importance of the pilot of airline in maintaining his proficient manual skills of flight, in case of failure in the automation, there is a safe manual piloting until the landing of the aircraft. It is characterized as an exploratory research with bibliographic and documentary procedure through books, articles and reports from specialized magazines and news portals. The approach used was qualitative. The first topic discussed is about the automation of modern aircraft and the evolution of it. From the first planes that only sailed with the bus and a stopwatch to the present day, the plane practically lands, brakes and without the pilot's hand in the controls of the aircraft. As well as the size of aircraft, the embedded technology systems and the complexity of automation have also evolved. The job that once needed five people in the booth, now only needs two, and most of the functions assigned to automation. The second topic is concerned with situational awareness regarding automatism, and it was necessary to require more of the pilot the attentive and efficient management of the embedded and technological systems of the aircraft, besides obvious manual and elemental piloting. It is good to remember that automation is extremely advantageous, but it can induce loss of situational awareness, leading to performance errors, wrong actions and a "vice" to the loss of manual pilot skills. The third topic concerns the basic characteristics of elemental and aerodynamic piloting. The last topic is the study of an air accident that had a direct participation of the man-machine interaction in the final result of the accident. Therefore, it is concluded with the results obtained in the research, that the lack of knowledge of manual piloting techniques and the lack of observance of high situational awareness increase the chance of having a major air accident. O foco principal é na análise de sistemas de automação das aeronaves versus pilotagem manual eficiente em caso de falhas e, obviamente o impacto que tem na segurança de voo da aviação civil. Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo geral adquirir conhecimentos para salientar a importância do piloto de linha aérea em manter suas habilidades manuais de voo proficientes, para em caso de falha no automatismo, haja uma pilotagem manual segura até o pouso da aeronave. Caracteriza-se como uma pesquisa exploratória com procedimento bibliográfico e documental por meio de livros, artigos e reportagens de revistas especializadas e portais de notícias. A abordagem utilizada foi qualitativa. O primeiro tópico abordado é a respeito da automação dos aviões modernos e a evolução dela. Desde os primeiros aviões que navegavam somente com a bussola e um cronômetro, até os dias de hoje, que o avião praticamente pousa, freia e para sem a mão do piloto nos controles da aeronave. Além do tamanho das aeronaves crescerem, os sistemas de tecnologia embarcada e a complexidade da automação também evoluíram muito. O trabalho que outrora necessitava de cinco pessoas na cabine, hoje precisa apenas dois, sendo grande parte das funções atribuída à automação. O segundo tópico abordado diz respeito á consciência situacional quanto ao automatismo, sendo que passou-se a exigir mais do piloto o gerenciamento atento e eficaz dos sistemas embarcados e tecnológicos das aeronaves, além, óbvio da pilotagem manual e elementar. É bom relembrar que o automatismo é extremamente vantajoso, mas pode induzir a perda da consciência situacional, ocasionando erros de performance, ações equivocadas e um “vício” para a perda das habilidades manuais de pilotagem. O terceiro tópico diz respeito às características básicas da pilotagem elementar e aerodinâmica. O último tópico consiste no estudo de um acidente aéreo que houve participação direta da interação homem-maquina no resultado final do acidente. Portanto, conclui-se com os resultados obtidos na pesquisa, que o desconhecimento das técnicas de pilotagem manual e a não observância de se ter a consciência situacional elevada fazem com que aumente muito a chance de se ter um acidente aéreo de grandes proporções.
