Exodontia of impacted third molars is one of the most frequent surgical procedures in dentistry, responsible for several postoperative symptoms and complications, such as: pain, edema, bleeding, trismus and alveolar osteitis. The objective of this study was to evaluate, through a literature review, how L-PRF influences tissue healing, bone regeneration and control of the most recurrent complications after extraction of these teeth. Fifteen articles were selected on the subject, all published in English, in internationally recognized journals, from 2011 to 2017.
