Manifestações patológicas de umidade nas paredes: um estudo de caso na região sul de Santa Catarina

The pathological manifestations of a degradation process that happens in a given building are result of a wide variables range. Having a great relevance the manifestations of humidity in masonry. This study`s target is to evaluate the causes of pathological manifestations of humidity in western walls of buildings placed in the south of Santa Catarina state. Deepening in the theorical knowledge regarding the anomalies that humidity causes in masonry. For that purpose, literature concerning pathology in buildings, humidity and climate in the southern region of Santa Catarina state, were reviewed. The research is shown as exploratory about study of case and bibliographic review. Bibliographical research was done through bibliographies mentioned in related books of this subject, national newspaper, master theses, scientific magazines and from internet platforms as Scielo, Google Academics, BDTD and DOAJ, using mostly the following tags: Pathology in buildings, humidity, south Santa Catarina climate. In order to achieve those information, contents that involves one or more pertinent domains to the pathological of humidity have been used. The study of case happened in two buildings and data achievement was made through a quiz application. All informed data were collected in Lauro Muller city considering 47 residents from two buildings, which show the same manifestation in the western facade and all of them replied the quiz containing 14 closed questions. Regarding the occurring manifestations in the western walls, which were analyzed, it can be concluded that homes have issues related to the humidity due its geographic localization of the studied buildings. However, through researches it was verified that factors as materials specifications of external covering and improper execution methods could be contributed for the pathological manifestations appearance found in the buildings.As manifestações patológicas de um processo de degradação que ocorrem em uma determinada edificação são resultantes de uma grande gama de variáveis, tendo grande relevância as manifestações de umidade em alvenaria. O objetivo deste estudo consiste avaliar as causas das manifestações patológicas de umidade em paredes oeste de edifícios construídos no sul do estado de Santa Catarina. A pesquisa está situada como exploratória, de estudo de caso e revisão bibliográfica. Foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica por meio de bibliografias citadas em livros referentes ao assunto, periódicos nacionais, teses de mestrado, revistas científicas e a partir de buscas na internet na plataforma Scielo, Google Acadêmicos, BDTD e DOAJ. O estudo de caso ocorreu em duas edificações em Lauro Müller, o procedimento de coleta de dados ocorreu com a aplicação de um questionário. Foram selecionados 47 moradores de duas edificações, que apresentam as mesmas manifestações na fachada oeste que responderam ao questionário com 14 perguntas fechadas. Pode-se concluir que, com relação às manifestações ocorrentes nas paredes oeste das edificações estudadas, foram constatados que as residências possuem problemas relacionados à umidade decorrente da localização geográfica das edificações estudadas. Contudo por meio da pesquisa, constatou-se que fatores como especificação de materiais de revestimento externo e métodos de execução inadequados, podem ter contribuído para o aparecimento das manifestações patológicas encontradas nas edificações
