The present study aims to determine the species of ticks and the amount of samples obtained in the different regions of the body of dairy cattle of the South of Santa Catarina. The population consisted of 20 cattle from three properties located in different municipalities. To begin the procedure of the bovine body were imaginarily divided into 07 topographic regions. Subsequently, the ticks sighted in the animals were collected in the period between March and May of 2017, placed in flasks containing alcohol 70 ° Gl and labeled according to body areas of each animal, still a field.
