Dearomatization reactions represent a powerful tool for the conversion of readily-available arenes into structurally complex, high-value intermediates in synthesis. Although there are many classic and modern approaches for overcoming the resonance stability inherent in these compounds, the technologies reported in the literature have limitations in terms of substrate scope and bonds constructed.
