La langue comme expression de la raison chez Johann Gottfried Herder

In order to understand the language of philosophy in Johann Gottfried Herder it is necessary to analyse his philosophy of language. Setting out from the conditions for language and from its development presented in his Treatise on the Origin of Language we shall present the categorisation of the latter in the Metakritik. Thus we shall see that reason is the language — and especially the language of philosophy — translating the experience of man in the concrete world (transl. J.
