Prosocial job crafting is a specific form of job crafting, focusing on crafting behaviours led by a prosocial intent. Prosocial job crafting is considered to be a subcategory of job crafting, and we identify three dimensions of the concept, namely task, relational, and cognitive prosocial job crafting. In this paper, we describe a study investigating prosocial job crafting in academic libraries. A structural model with the task element of prosocial job crafting was tested on a sample of participants from Hungary. We found that task prosocial job crafting was predicted by prosocial motivation, while it strongly and positively predicted supervisor ratings of individual performance, consistent with theoretical predictions.
