Inhalation anesthetics activate and cannabinoid agonists inhibit TWIK-related acid-sensitive K(+) channels (TASK)-1 two-pore domain leak K(+) channels in vitro. Many neuromodulators, such as noradrenaline, might also manifest some of their actions by modifying TASK channel activity.
