Natural rhombohedral carbonate crystals were studied by X-ray transmission topography. Several correlations between growth defects (faults, inclusions, dislocations) were observed : growth bands, often spotted by solid inclusions and parallel to the faces of crystals ; twin boundaries and faults on wich dislocations undergo changes in direction ; dislocations frequently in series or bundles, with a Burgers vector type : 1/2 .L'étude de monocristaux de carbonates naturels par la méthode de topographies aux rayons X permet de noter des corrélations entre divers défauts de croissance : fautes, inclusions, dislocations.
