Quartz orientation in lenses from mica-schists and gneisses around Mount Lozère were studied, in relation to the plane of schistosity. Two principal orientations were observed in agreement with the theory of crystallisation under stress. These two orientations could correspond with quartz having crystallised as β-quartz or α-quartz.Étude de l'orientation du quartz par rapport au plan de la schistosité, dans des lentilles prélevées dans les micaschistes et les gneiss entourant le Mont Lozère.
