Parabutlerite is a basic hydrated iron sulphate, Fe SO₄OH, 2H₂O. Its lattice parameters are a = 7.38 Å, b = 20.13 Å, c = 7.22 Å and its symmetry group is Pmnb. The crystal structure was solved by three dimensionnal X-ray diffraction mesurements made with an automatic diffractometer.
