Computational Analysis of Electric Car Ride

The topic of bachelor thesis is the suspension of electric vehicles and its comparison with conventional cars. The research part describes properties of electric vehicles and their influence on the design. The increase in their total weight due to batteries and chassis solutions is being investigated especially. The next section is focused on electric motors, especially electric in-wheel motors, which represent a significant increase in unsprung mass. The next chapter describes the effect of suspension and its importance in terms of driving comfort and safety. In the computational part, the influence of the increased sprung and unsprung masses, which were defined in the search, is analyzed using the quarter car model in the MATLAB program.
