Research of pull force and tire pressure influence on the tractor acceleration

After the analysis of the literature it was presumed that the tire air pressure and pulling force both have a significant impact on a tractor’s efficiency parameters. Tractor’s acceleration depends upon the type of vehicle, insofar as its size and weight, wheel types, but the most important characteristic parameters are speed, acceleration, the distance it takes to reach a predetermined speed and the time it takes for the speed to stabilize. The parameters, mentioned before, are essential in determining the tractor’s efficiency and performance indicators. Acceleration process continues to grow until the speed of the tractor stabilizes or becomes close to a constant speed corresponding to the load. The aim of research is to find out the effect of a different tire pressure and the pulling force on the tractor’s acceleration. The results of the research showed, that increasing the air pressure in the tires from 0,8 bar to 2,4 bar and the pulling force from 4,32 kN to 13,26 kN decreases the accelerationVytauto Didžiojo universitetasŽemės ūkio akademij
