Santr. anglBibliogr.: p. 187-189 (32 pavad.)Literature sources on the use of pressed straw in the construction of buildings were overviewed and analysed in the article. The suitability of pressed straw was evaluated according to the basic requirements of structures as prescribed on the Law on Construction of the Republic of Lithuania. It was defined that pressed straw, as natural heat isolating material, can be used in the construction of buildings in Lithuania as well, whereas constructional material can be used only for the construction of temporal, simple buildings.
