The article deals with a question, if repeated actions can be considered as creative acts. Therefore the article is aimed at widening and changing the concept of creation. By analyzing several concepts particularly important to the modern thinking and their relationship, the author investigates why creativity is attributed solely to production of artistic works as unique, individual objects. By selecting an example of an ancient song from a popular hymnal, the author attempts to show that singing as an act of everyday religious practice embodies a different sort of creativity than creation of an artistic work.
