Combustion inside the stationary fluidized bed is now one of the most advanced methods of the energy conversion, it allows you to combust different types of poor quality fuel, while reducing hazardous air pollutants. The aim of this report is to investigate operation of the bio-fuel boiler with the fluidized bed furnace, and to determine its technical characteristics. In the study there was analyzed a combustion process, heat losses were calculated, were calculated technical characteristics, was determined impact of the fuel moisture content on the boiler efficiency, were estimated carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxide emissions in the flue gas. The optimal boiler efficiency 87.1% was obtained on 80% of the boiler load. The biggest thermal tension of the fluidized bed furnace space was estimated as 188.5, kW/m3, which is smaller thermal tension value than in layered and spatial furnaces. When boiler is in operation on the nominal load and is combusting wood chips with 44.1% moisture content, nitrogen oxide emissions are on the highest values and are increasing up to 288 mg/m3. The highest concentration of the carbon monoxide was estimated as 145 mg/m3 and was obtained at 48.9% moisture content of combusted fuel.
