Experimental work was carried out to analyze the influence of different geometrical parameters, temperature and strain rate on the tribological behavior of industrial steel. In an experiments the scratch track width and from its values the track depth as a trigonometry function was calculated of the applied load considering a spherical indenter with a measured radius. The micro-indentation experimental technique was used to obtain the hardness of contact system at 20 and 50 g. The substrate hardness influences the experimental and model's wear characteristics.
